After an extensive and expensive eighteen month full frame-off restoration
of our 68 Camaro
“Redemption” and at a critical time of our completion--the first run; we
discovered, our transmission wasn’t what we had expected; in fact, the
transmission ended up needing to be replaced. With only one-week before
our Camaro’s unveiling car show, which we had to be there, we were at a
dead stop.
Because of our lessons learned from the first transmission, we decided
to go for the absolute best possible transmission built today;
however, we also needed the transmission ASAP. We researched various
transmission companies known within the hot rod industry, after contacting
several companies; we were told, time and time again, our deadline could
not be met. That was until we
 contacted
Monster Transmission and Performance, after explaining our current
Camaro’s specifications, situation, and critical time deadline; we were
told, “No problem, we can have the transmission custom built, performance
tested, and delivered this weekend (from their Florida warehouse); it will
get to you by Tuesday.” Additionally, the guys over at Monster
Transmission & Performance went a step further; we proposed and presented
a sponsorship agreement—they accepted. On the following Tuesday, we
received the unbelievably well built
SS Mega Monster 700 R-4 complete
custom built transmission and Monster’s newest
torque converter. We
were all in awestruck with the quality and workmanship of their product.
The transmission was so well built; we had a flawless and quick
installation. Once complete, we of course had to test out Redemption; the
car ran like a champ, the SS Mega Monster
700R4 transmission worked perfectly. We have to thank Monster
Transmission and Performance for their unparalleled quality, customer
service, and dedication to helping us
complete our project and reaching our goal; we made the car show
Redemption was unveiled and most all were wowed—a complete success;
largely thanks to Monster Transmission and Performance. We won’t make the
same transmission mistake again on any future car
restoration projects; we know Monster Transmission and Performance’s
products are the best out there, they have gained a loyal customer and we
will be sure to spread the word about Monster Transmission and Products;
